Emily Marshall
Emily joined the BioCommons team as a developer primarily to work on the Australian Tree of Life project.
Emily brings a Master of Software Engineering from University of Melbourne, as well as experience working as a Software Engineer at NAB and University of Melbourne, with a strong focus on building scalable, maintainable software.
Passionate about building high-quality, reliable software that makes an impact, Emily enjoys designing intuitive applications, optimising performance, and diving into both backend architecture and frontend experience.
When she’s not working, Emily spends as much time as possible outdoors – hiking, camping, travelling to new places. She also enjoys reading and working on creative, software-driven side projects.
Emily's position is funded by Bioplatforms Australia and hosted by the University of Melbourne.
