The Workflows Community Initiative (WCI) aims to bring the workflows community together (users, developers, researchers, and facilities) to provide community resources and capabilities to enable scientists and workflow systems developers to discover software products, related efforts, events, technical reports, etc and engage in community-wide efforts to tackle workflows grand challenges.
WCI convene a working group for FAIR computational workflows that meets fortnightly. Australian BioCommons is supporting WCI to run a meeting at a time that is more convenient for attendees from the Asia Pacific region. Everyone is welcome, regardless of your timezone!
Next Asia Pacific timezone-friendly meeting: 13 December 2024, 1:30 pm AEDT / 12:30 pm AEST / 1 pm ACDT / 10:30 am AWST (check in your timezone)
The working group aims to:
Define FAIR principles for computational workflows that consider the complex lifecycle from specification to execution and data products
Define metrics to measure the FAIRness of a workflow
Define recommendations for FAIR workflow developers and systems
Define processes to automate FAIRness in workflows by recording necessary provenance data
