Omics research is booming, offering us the possibility to understand biology from unique global perspectives. As life scientists increasingly apply genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics to their research questions, the need for accessible and flexible computational technologies grows. Australian compute facilities are adapting to the needs of life science researchers. In response to the growing demand for flexible access to high-performance computing and cloud, the National Compute Infrastructure (NCI) has launched a new merit-based access scheme: Adapter. To make the most of opportunities like the Adapter scheme, researchers can benefit from understanding the challenges and limitations of bioinformatics in HPC environments, and how to speed up applications and utilise available compute resources as efficiently as possible.
This webinar introduces life scientists to NCI's Adapter scheme and provides insights into preparing a strong application. We will focus on how to test and optimise your bioinformatics pipelines for improved speed and efficiency.
