Between 19 -23 April 2021 the global Galaxy community is hosting a workshop on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) with a special focus on bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq data analysis in Arabidopsis thaliana.
The workshop will introduce the topic of RNA-Seq and how you can use Galaxy to analyse RNA-Seq data. During the workshop you will learn about universal tools, workflows and a framework applicable to different domains. Although it is designed to deal with plant transcriptome data analysis, most of the analysis can be adapted to other organisms.
See the Galaxy Event Listing for a more detailed description of the workshop and topics to be covered.
Who the workshop is for
The workshop is for biologists and researchers interested in bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq data analysis. It is ideal for beginners in RNA-Seq and no programming experience is required.
How it works
The workshop is delivered via a combination of pre-recorded sessions, online training materials and live support via chat with experts who can answer questions on a peer-to-peer basis. There will be Australian helpers available on Slack to assist you at a time that suits you. You can participate in all days, or simply pick out the tutorials of interest.
